PCC Meeting on Monday 12th at St Paul’s Mount Pleasant, starting at 7.30 pm.

Evening Prayer each weekday from Monday to Thursday is said at 5.15 pm.

The Bishop’s Certificate course – Living Faith – continues on Monday at 3.30 pm.

Bell practice on Tuesday evening at 7.45 pm.

Ash Wednesday falls on  14th.  Holy Communion with the imposition of ashes at 10.30 am and (sung) at 7.30 pm.

Faith in the Village takes place at West End Village on Thursday 15th at 11.00 am. All are welcome.

Choir Practice on Thursday from 6.30 pm.

Looking Ahead

Faith in the Village Ecumenical Lent Group starts at West End Village on Monday 19th at 2 pm and following Mondays. All are welcome.

Bishop Michael invites us to Lichfield Cathedral on Saturday 3 March for Next Steps – following Christ in the footsteps of St Chad. The service starts at 11.00 am. Speak to Fr Andrew if you are interested in attending.

Stoke Minster will be hosting the Confirmation service on 13 May and preparation sessions will be starting soon. If you would like to find out more about Confirmation – whether as an adult or a young person (normally over 11 years of age) please speak to a member of the clergy team.

Other Notices

Membership forms for the Electoral Roll are now available from Donna Hilditch – or in the porch. The final date for application in order to vote in this year’s annual meeting is Sunday 18th March.

Mark’s Gospel Comes Alive: For four nights at Christ Church, Cobridge, Howard Jones will bring the characters of Mark’s Gospel to life in a solo performance – 13,276 words, 678 verses, 16 chapters, 2 hours, 1 actor. On 24 February or 14 April 2018 from 10am to 4pm, Called To Be Me is a guided quiet day for lay people designed to help them discover and reflect on God’s unique call. It includes peaceful worship, introductory meditations, and suggestions for individual reflection plus information about opportunities and training for ministry and service along with time for private conversations about vocational journeys. The days are at Shallowford House and led by Deborah Sheridan, Interim Diocesan Director of Ordinards. Cost £25 including a light lunch. Old Testament Readathon: St Michael & St Wulfad Church. Stone, celebrate 260 years of worship by hosting an Old Testament Readathon from 1pm on Sunday 18 February. If you’d like to take part in the event, which will finish on 21 February, by taking a 30-minute slot, text 07866 341111 for an application form.

The Civic Prayer Breakfast takes place on Friday 20th April – there are limited tickets available at £5 each (usual price £10) – speak to Fr Andrew for details.
